Shopify consultancy from people who build Shopify stores.

Store reviews, theme and app decisions, migrations and growth plans from a studio that builds Shopify stores every week.

What this is

Shopify consultancy from an independent Shopify studio in Northern Ireland. Store reviews, theme and app decisions, migrations, conversion and growth plans, all from someone who builds Shopify stores every week and has no app to sell you.

Invisible Building went all-in on Shopify because it is the platform that lets a small business run a serious store without a big team. But Shopify is also easy to make expensive: the wrong theme, a dozen overlapping apps, a page builder nobody can edit, a migration that loses your search rankings. Shopify consultancy is where we help you avoid those mistakes, or undo them.

What we help with

The six places Shopify stores most often lose money, time or customers.

  1. Shopify store reviews

A page-by-page walkthrough of your store (home, collections, product, cart, checkout, mobile) with a prioritised list of fixes and the reasoning behind each one. Book a one-hour store review.

  2. Theme & app strategy

Which theme fits your catalogue and brand, which apps you actually need, and which subscriptions you can cancel. We rebuilt LooseHeadz off a page builder in under a month for exactly this reason.

  3. Migrations to Shopify

Moving from Wix, WordPress/WooCommerce, Squarespace or an older platform without losing products, customers, orders or SEO. Read why it’s time to move from Wix.

  4. Conversion & UX

Finding where customers drop off and fixing it: product page clarity, navigation, subscription flows, custom product builders, like the work we did for Werewolf Food.

  5. Shopify SEO

Site architecture, collection and product page content, blog strategy and technical fixes. Start with our Shopify SEO tips for Northern Ireland businesses.

  6. Email, automation & AI

Klaviyo and Shopify Email flows, order and inventory automation, and practical uses of AI for content and support, without handing your customers to a chatbot.

Who we work with

Owner-managed brands across Northern Ireland, the UK and Ireland: food and drink, sport, jewellery, pet care, events and purpose-led organisations.

Also Werewolf Food, Belfast Whiskey Week and more. We work with charities and social enterprises that sell on Shopify to fund their work too. See Tech for Good.

How it works

Plan first. Then act.

  1. First conversation. Bring your store URL and your biggest frustration. Get in touch for a free discovery chat, or book a 30-minute consultation to get straight into it.
  2. Review or workshop. Either a recorded store review, or a one-day technology consultation where we go deep on your store, tools and plans together.
  3. Plan, then act. You leave with a prioritised, costed list. Implement it yourself, with your existing developer, or with us through a project or the Shopify growth partnership.
Questions

Asked often.

Are you a Shopify Partner?

Yes. Invisible Building is an independent Shopify studio and partner based in Belfast. Read more on our Shopify developer Belfast and Shopify developer Northern Ireland pages.

Do you recommend specific apps?

Only when there is no native way to do it. Our default is fewer apps, more native Shopify features and metafields. It’s cheaper, faster and easier for your team to manage.

Can you help if my store was built by someone else?

Yes. Most consultancy work is on stores we didn’t build. We’ll review it on its merits and tell you what to keep as well as what to change.

I’m not on Shopify yet. Is consultancy still useful?

Very. Deciding whether Shopify is right for you, and planning the migration properly, is the cheapest time to get advice. See digital consultancy for broader platform decisions.

Do you offer training?

Yes, as part of a consultation day or an ongoing partnership. If you’re in Northern Ireland, there is also free Shopify training through Go Succeed that we recommend.

Written along the way, as it happened. Nothing tidied up afterwards.

Paying for apps you don’t need?

Most Shopify stores we review are carrying two or three subscriptions that native features could replace. A one-hour review usually pays for itself.
