We’re the New Title Sponsor of the Belfast Renegades
Our name on the shirt of Belfast’s cup-winning ice hockey team for two seasons, a new Shopify store for the club, and support for men’s mental health through sport.

Invisible Building is the new title and official shirt sponsor of the Belfast Renegades, Belfast’s cup-winning men’s ice hockey team, for the next two seasons. We’ll be supporting these champions from the sidelines with our name on their shirt, and behind the scenes as their technology partner. I’m very excited about this one.
How it happened
I spend a lot of time looking at a screen, and I get a lot of my work through Facebook business groups. That’s where I first saw the opportunity, and my instant reaction was the honest one: what a cool jersey, what a cool sport, and what an incredible marketing opportunity for my business.
Then I spent an hour or so on the Belfast Renegades’ Facebook page and went on to YouTube to watch and learn about the Nigel Smeaton Memorial Cup, the cross-border competition between teams from Ireland and Northern Ireland. The Renegades won its A Division in the very first season, and they won it again this year.
Looking at the footage from Dundonald International Ice Bowl, and all the photos of the Renegades celebrating and lifting the 2026 cup, with kids in jerseys on the ice beside them, I 100% knew this was the opportunity that Invisible Building was waiting for.

More than a logo on a shirt
Not only do we get to support an incredible sport and a successful team, we also get to support men’s mental health through sport.
Amateur team sport does something for men that very little else does. It gives you a fixed night of the week, a changing room, and a group of people who notice when you don’t turn up. Nobody calls it a mental health intervention, which is probably why it works. We’ve seen the same thing through our work with LooseHeadz, rugby’s mental health charity, and it is why this sponsorship sits with the rest of our Tech for Good work rather than in the marketing budget.
The new alternate jersey
We’re also pleased to be providing the team with their new alternate white jerseys, which the Renegades will wear for the first time this season. The club unveiled them last month, and I’ll let them describe it:
“The new threads feature gun metal shoulders to match our logo, bold black arm stripes, our signature red bands and enhanced performance sweat wicking material. Can’t wait to wear these beauties for the first time this season.”
We’re in good company on it too, alongside Bar South Sports, GHBK Design and returning sponsor Vacuum Hospital Bangor. When the comments under the reveal include a “shut up and take my money” meme and “can fans order these?”, you know the design landed.
Technology partner: a new Shopify store for the club
Which brings me to the part we’re best placed to help with. As the Renegades’ technology partner, we’re building the club a new Shopify store: somewhere to sell merch properly, build the fan base, and help grow the Belfast Renegades community.
For an amateur club, merch isn’t just revenue. It’s how a fan base becomes visible, how kids end up in the jersey, and how a community forms around a team. A club that can run that itself, without it eating volunteers’ evenings, is a stronger club. More on the store when it launches.
Two years of ice hockey
I’m absolutely delighted for the opportunity to work with the team, and I can’t wait to get down to watch the lads during pre-season and for the next two years of ice hockey.

You can read the full story on our Belfast Renegades page. And if you’ve never been to a game at the Ice Bowl, go. It’s fast, it’s loud, and it’s on your doorstep.
Let’s go Renegades.
